On 21-07-2019, Fishing Adventure controller Kobus Weiss went fishing at his familiar spot at Rutbekerveld.
The carp seemed totally inactive and only a sturgeon of about 1.50 metres was caught.
At the 22e Around 17.30, Kobus got a hard run on the rod baited with FA Baits' Robin Red Garlic boilie.
After a tough drill, he was able to pilot a beautiful scale into the net, which on weighing was found to weigh a whopping 44.4 pounds.
At only 91 cm in length, it is clear that this fish can still make huge growth in both length and weight.
After being weighed and photographed, the fish was obviously put back so it is now happily swimming its laps again at Fishing Adventure.
